How to Set Up a Link to PayPal

As a commercial website owner and PayPal member, you have the option of posting a link on your site to let buyers know you accept PayPal payments in your shopping cart. Simply cut and paste the free HTML code PayPal creates and provides to its members onto the Web pages you want to display the link.

Instructions: 1.
Log in to your PayPal account with your user name and password. (See Resources.)
2. Select "Merchant Services" on the top menu.

3. Find the header that reads "Resources" on the merchant services page. Click "Logo Center" filed under it.

4. Select from among three link-and-logo options. The "Acceptance Mark" places a simple PayPal logo on your site. "Solution Graphics" gives you the choice of clarifying that through PayPal, the buyer can charge the purchase to one among a number of credit cards. The third link under "Additional Options" is similar to the first one, but includes a brief sentence that emphasizes PayPal as your preferred payment service.

5. Click the link option you prefer out of the three listed in Step 4. Highlight the HTML code in the box. Select "Copy" on the Edit menu in your browser. Change windows to log in to your website's administrative services. Contact your Web host if you don't know how to access it. Each provider has its own process for the owner to make changes to the site. Place the cursor where you want it on your website and choose "Paste" on the browser's menu. The code is now installed.
6. Log out of the administrative services. Access your website as a shopper would. Click the new PayPal link to verify it works.
